Baithak
Terms of Use
Baithak (“the app”) is an iPhone app made by Several, an independent app studio, that teaches the game of mahjong. By using it, you agree to these simple terms.
The app
Baithak teaches the Indian Mahjong League’s Traditional convention. It is a learning aid — not an official rulebook, and not a substitute for your own table’s house rules. We describe our ruleset honestly and never claim that one convention is universal.
No account, your device
There is no account and no login. Your progress is stored on your device. The little the app sends is anonymous — see the Privacy Policy.
Purchases
Baithak is free to start. An optional one-time in-app purchase, “Full Course,” unlocks the remaining lessons. All purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms; Apple handles payment, receipts, and refund requests. Because “Full Course” is a non-consumable purchase, you can restore it on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.
Fair use
Please use Baithak for your own learning. Don’t copy, resell, or redistribute the lessons, artwork, or sounds, and don’t attempt to break, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app.
Provided “as is”
We work hard to keep Baithak accurate and pleasant, but it is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Several is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
Changes
If these terms change, we’ll update this page and its effective date.
